Research God - What am I?

What are you?

You are an eternal soul. Another way of expressing this is that
you are an eternal, immaterial and unique consciousness who
experiences emotions and is able to make moral judgments.

You are currently experiencing a temporary physical existence
within a human body.

When your body dies you will leave it and move back to
dimensions of existence that are not generally perceptible while
you are in this physical human incarnation.

You were not created in the physical world, and it is not your
real or permanent home.

You think of yourself as a physical body because that is what
your physical senses tell you. However, your physical senses are
very limited in scope, and are only intended to sustain your life
in the physical dimensions.

Your capacity for conscious thought was not created by your
brain.

God created you, a soul, so He is your Father and Mother. We
assign a male gender to God by historical convention only. We
need to do this because while we exist in this physical
incarnation we cannot easily understand how God could be both
Mother and Father.

God created the conditions for your human parents to be able to
form your temporary physical body. You entered your physical
body some time after it had been conceived.

All of us are connected and contain a spark of God. This is why
you, a soul, are already eternal and indestructible.

Nothing in God’s creation can be destroyed, but everything can
be transformed.

Since you contain a spark of God, you are a creative being and
you can create your own reality. This ability is generally referred
to as the law of “Intention”. This reality is a reflection of your
thoughts and actions. You can create and manage the world in
which you live by the way you perceive it. To put it simply; think
and act positively and the world will be positive; think and act
negatively and the world will be negative. Your thoughts
empower your reality. The law of “Intention” applies to groups
of souls as well as individual souls.

You have the potential to be much more powerful than you will
ever know, but to access that power you must awaken spiritually
and be aligned with God.

Why have you forgotten that you are a soul?

If you knew for sure that you are immortal, you would probably
not be genuinely motivated to grow your soul or fully experience
the physical world. Therefore, your true nature is temporarily
“veiled” from you while you exist in the physical world. This veil
is sometimes referred to as the “veil of forgetfulness”. It is
more transparent for some than for others.

You are here to learn to love unconditionally. The veil is what
keeps you from cheating! Authentic unconditional loves comes
from the heart, and you are here to train yourself to react with
love. If you were to shortcut the process and respond to
creation based on an intellectual understanding of what is
expected of you, your behavior would not be sincere.

Life in the spiritual dimensions is generally much more pleasant
than life in the physical world. If the spiritual dimensions were
not veiled from us, we would get very homesick and we would
not focus on our day to day reality. We would therefore not
learn the lessons we agreed to try to learn in this physical life.

Some people recognize the existence of the veil and understand
that the veil is thinning as souls in the physical dimensions grow
towards God. This soul growth process is sometimes described
as “ascension”. The veil thins as we grow and understand our
connection with each other and God. As we learn and remember
who we really are, we no longer need the veil because we are
authentically motivated to love unconditionally, and we accept
why we are having a physical incarnation.

Souls who can see through the veil know that they will return to
the spiritual dimensions. In the meantime, they accept that
they have work to do.
